Lulu Group has expanded its presence in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia with the opening of its 30th hypermarket in the country. The 100,000 sq. feet hypermarket is located in the Al Rakkah district and was inaugurated by Hamad Bin Mohammed AlbuAli, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Eastern Province, in the presence of Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman of Lulu Group International, and other dignitaries.
The hypermarket will offer a wide range of products, including fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and seafood from around the world, as well as an in-house bakery. Customers can also choose from a selection of plant-based meat substitutes, organic and superfood items, and a variety of “free-from” products. The hypermarket will feature products grown and produced in Saudi Arabia, including locally farmed fish, meat, coffee, fruits, and vegetables.
Yusuffali MA expressed his pride in the new retail addition and the Lulu Group’s continued investment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. The hypermarket will offer environmentally-sound and technologically advanced services, including e-receipts for every purchase and a Refills section where customers can refill their packs with coffee, millets, spices, and pulses in-store to reduce packaging waste.
The opening ceremony was attended by Saifee Rupawala, CEO of Lulu Group, Shehim Mohammed, Director of Lulu Hypermarket Saudi Arabia, Moiz Nuruddin, Regional Director of Lulu Eastern Province, Eng. Muhammad Ahmad Bubushait, Executive Manager of Lulu Eastern Province, and other officials.
